Khadijah trained in teaching Psychology and will be working at a school in Fulham from September 2025.

What was your favourite thing about the Reach Teacher Training course?

The fact that by the end of the year, the ITT cohort was a genuine family.


What is the most surprising thing you learnt about yourself this year?

I am surprisingly good at multitasking and thinking about 100 different things at once, whilst balancing about 5 deadlines.


If you could go back and tell your 8-year-old self something you know now, what would it be?

You are clever and smart enough to be whatever you want!


If you could go back and tell your 17-year-old self something you know now, what would it be?

You are not scared of public speaking anymore you are literally the centre of attention. I would tell her that she is able to now make a difference to young adult’s lives and be someone for them to turn to, like i so desperately needed when I was struggling through sixth form.


What are you most looking forward to about next year?

Building new relationships!


Where do you want to be in 5 years time?

I want to be a school counsellor, or being a head of year – continuing to make an impact on children.


What are your long term career aspirations?

A school counsellor.


What was the funniest thing that happened this year?

Mary’s obsession with Shrek and her playing it during our graduation.


What was the strangest/most surprising thing that happened to you in a classroom this year?

How strong the relationships are that I have built with my people around me.
